Needed for UCLA Study

for a research study comparing the safety and effectiveness of an experimental drug to placebo (inactive substance) Flovent. You will receive free medication and be compensated for your time.

You may be eligible for the study if you:

-Have been diagnosed with Asthma

-Have not been on a stable dose of inhaled corticosteroids for at least 3 months

-Are not pregnant

Possible risks include headache, worsening asthma, swelling in the nose, throat, hoarseness, oral fungus infection.

Participation requires 9 visits over 13 weeks and involves physical exams, blood and urine samples, breathing tests, home daily diary.

You may be compensated up to $460 for participation.

This one-visit study involves a computer-assisted questionnaire, an anorectal examination, and testing for Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs).
