A naked woman ordered coffee at the Kerckhoff Coffee House Thursday evening in front of confused patrons and employees.

“(She) came in and ordered a coffee, and did a little dance, with her red scarf,” said Sarah Levine, a fourth-year English student who was in the cafe.

Levine said she initially thought it was a sociology experiment.

Someone with a camera was following the woman, said Matt Picken, a third-year anthropology student.

“Her (actions) became progressively more showy (and she eventually) bent over and posed for a picture,” Levine said.

The woman entered the room nonchalantly, said Lily Soto, a third-year film student. She said she had to look twice to assure herself that the woman ordering coffee, who she described as calm and poised, was indeed naked.

Soto said that it “was a once-in-a-lifetime experience at UCLA.”

This was not the first time the woman had been to the coffeehouse, said Erika Grundon, a fourth-year psychology student and coffeehouse employee who was in the cafe at the time.

She said the woman came in Wednesday for a coffee sample and had been acting strangely.

Grundon said her supervisor asked the woman to leave, and she complied.
