A recent UCLA graduate was killed by a taxi on Wilshire Boulevard early Saturday morning, according to a statement from the Santa Monica Police Department. Melissa Del Aguila, 24, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and later died from her injuries. Del Aguila was celebrating her graduation at Q’s Billiard Club in West Los Angeles around 1 a.m.

Apron parking in the North Village will now face parking citations

Beginning next week, students will face parking citations for illegal apron parking in North Village, according to officials. Throughout this week, cars parked perpendicularly to the street and blocking part of the sidewalk will receive yellow warning notices, reminding students to obey the law and move their cars.
