Bruin digest: Jim Harrick named scout and coaching assistant for the Denver Nuggets

Former UCLA men’s basketball coach Jim Harrick was hired Monday by the Denver Nuggets as a scout and coaching assistant. Harrick resigned from the head coaching job at Georgia in March after accusations were made involving academic fraud and improper payments to players. Harrick has also coached at Pepperdine and Rhode Island. He won a national championship while at UCLA in 1995 but was fired in 1996 after lying on an expense report.
