Firefighters attempt to put out the Canyon Fire in Malibu, one of over a dozen wildfires across Southern California. The Canyon Fire is the one closest to UCLA. It has forced the closure of part of the Pacific Coast Highway, and over 1,500 firefighters have been dispatched. Firefighters were using helicopters and airplanes to battle the blaze, and the cost of putting the fire out has already stretched beyond $1.2 million.
