Junior pitcher Tim Murphy has a 3-3 record this year and a 3-1 strikeout-walk ratio. When he was a high school senior, Murphy was an 11th round draft pick by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the 2005 MLB Draft as a center fielder, but chose to play at UCLA. The junior switched to pitching last season and developed into a top prospect under coach John Savage. Murphy could be a first-round pick in the 2008 MLB Draft.
