The ASUCLA Board of Directors announced during its 10th meeting of the 2024-2025 academic year that CalFresh recipients can use their benefits at ASUCLA stores.
The board, composed of a student majority, has financial oversight over ASUCLA entities, including the Undergraduate Students Association Council, the Graduate Student Association and the ASUCLA Communications Board – which oversees UCLA Student Media.
The sole candidate running for Undergraduate Students Association Council transfer student representative said she hopes to implement more inclusive policies for transfer students, students with disabilities and students with dependents during a Thursday debate.
Students have been able to receive their textbooks on a subscription basis since fall 2024.
The Bruin One Access program, administered by ASUCLA, allows students to access their required course materials for $129 per quarter.
The Undergraduate Students Association Council allocated less than a third of requested funds from its Board of Directors Programming Fund during its meeting Jan. 21.
USAC is the official student government representing the undergraduate student body at UCLA.
